Offending society one card at a time. A Paper Shank card (PSC) is a card with attitude. It is for unusual situations, hate mail, taboo subject matter or a play on words. The origin of the word "shank" is prison slang. {Shank, Shanked. A homemade knife made out of scrap metal found anywhere and sharpened like a knife. Shanked. To be stabbed by a homemade knife}. So a Paper Shank is a handmade card that might feel like you have been stabbed in the back or in the heart.

A. Yes, a Paper Shank is a kinder gentler shank and a Dirty Shank is Rated R and has a sharper edge. They are both sold in The Jailbird Commissary Etsy store.
Q. If I like Paper Shanks, will I like Dirty Shanks?
A. Not necessarily. Dirty Shank cards are not suitable for children and/or the easily offended.
